Red Crescent saves 5 villages in Diala from floods
DIALA / IraqiNews.com: In cooperation with security personnel, the Iraqi Red Crescent Organization has saved five Diala villages located on the border with Iran from floods, the director of the Red Crescent in the province said on Saturday. “In cooperation with police and army forces and with the help of airplanes, rescue teams from the organization today managed to rescue five villages: al-Imar, Jisr al-Naft, al-Issaf, Arab Hezam and Dulaymat (155 km east of Baaquba), after they had been surrounded by floods for two days,” Hazem al-Sirag said in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency.
