IED blast wounds policeman, child in Mosul

NINEWA /Iraqi News A policeman and a child were wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in central Mosul city on Thursday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “The IED attack targeted a police patrol in the area of al-Mikkawi, central Mosul, leaving a policeman and a child who happened to be near the blast scene wounded,” the source told Iraqi News. “The wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he added. Mosul, the capital city of the volatile province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 2
