2 soldiers wounded in Ninewa attack

NINEWA /Iraqi News Two servicemen, one of them an officer, were wounded in an ambush by gunmen west of the city of Mosul on Saturday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “An Iraqi officer in the rank of lieutenant and a soldier were wounded when gunmen opened fire on their patrol in the area of al-Sahaji, west of Mosul,” the source told Iraqi News. “The gunmen later managed to escape to an unknown place,” the source added.
