2nd civilian killed in Mosul in 24 hrs

NINEWA /Iraqi News One man has been killed by gunmen in Mosul, the second incident of its kind in less than 24 hours, a local police source said on Wednesday. “At noon, a group of gunmen opened fire on a civilian in al-Islah al-Ziraie neighborhood, western Mosul,” the source told Iraqi News. “The body of the victim, a resident of Talafar, has been delivered to the local morgue in Mosul,” the source pointed out. Last evening, unidentified gunmen killed another Talafar resident inside a taxicab in 17 Tammuz neighborhood, western Mosul. Talafar lies 60 km west of Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, which is 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 3
