Al-Maliki’s office denies order to arrest al-Sadr

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s office denied on Monday recent reports on issuing an order to arrest Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr once he returns home. The office described these reports as ‘groundless’. Al-Arabiya satellite channel had said in a Urgent that al-Maliki gave an order to arrest al-Sadr once he returns to Iraq.
