Maliki’s bloc leading in initial results in Najaf

NAJAF /Iraqi News Initial results of Iraq’s parliamentary elections in Najaf province showed that Dawlat al-Qanoon (State of Law) bloc came first with 55,846 votes, followed by the National Iraqi bloc with 48,613 votes and Iyad Allawi’s al-Iraqiya third with 9,076 votes. The numbers were revealed by the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Iraq on Thursday. MH (P)/AmR 3
