Tehran’s meetings aim to undermine national project- INL
BAGHDAD /Iraqi News A spokesperson for the Iraqi National List (INL) has described meetings by political blocs in Tehran as an attempt to undermine the list’s national project. “The conduct of political bloc meetings in Tehran is an attempt to undermine the Iraqi List‘s national project. Therefore, we have reservations about those meetings,” Maysoon al-Damlouji told Iraqi News. “No Iraqi would accept that the government be formed in Tehran. The Iraqiya is the largest bloc and we are the ones who are supposed to form the government,” he added. A number of Iraqi politicians had headed to Tehran to meet Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr to discuss possible coalitions with his bloc. SS (P) 1
