82 female members in Iraq’s new parliament – IHEC

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News Eighty-two women will be members of Iraq’s new parliament, the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Iraq said on Thursday. “Twenty one of them received enough votes to be members in the parliament without the need for the woman-quota,” Hamdiya al-Husseini of the IHEC told Iraqi News.
