URGENT / Blast in Hilla leaves 18 Shiite worshippers wounded

BABEL / IraqiNews.com: Eighteen worshippers were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near a Shiite mosque north of al-Hilla city on Friday, a local police source said. “The IED exploded off the Shiite mosque of al-Zubaydi neighborhood in the district of al-Djebla, (50 km) north of Hilla,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The explosion left 18 worshippers wounded,” he said, not giving further details about the incident.
