CBI dollar sales down to $158m

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales went up to reach $158.199 million in its daily auction Wednesday, compared to $182.444 million in the previous session. “The demand hit $3.260 million in cash, covered at an exchange rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars per dollar, and $154.939 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at an exchange rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency. None of the 14 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily action from Sunday to Thursday. MH (P)/SR 1
