NOC urges Talafar residents to return to their homes

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Ninewa Operations Command on Saturday urged the people of Talafar to return to their homes after the NOC troops evacuated 300 houses they used to occupy in the past. “We appeal to the families residing in Talafar, (60 km) west of Mosul, to return to their homes after the stable security conditions witnessed in the district,” according to an NOC statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Acts of violence that were thriving in Talafr in 2005 and 2006 pushed many families to leave their homes, which have been occupied later by security forces that were conducting security operations there.
