UNHCR discusses with Talafar officials displaced people return

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A delegation from the UN Refugees Agency discussed on Tuesday with local officials in Talafar the return of displaced families to their regions. “The UNHCR suggested offering financial incentives to encourage these families to return to their houses, which left them after the spread of violent acts in the district from 2004 until 2008,” head of the Talafar council’s displaced people committee, Sadeq Mohammad Ali, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The committee provided the UNHCR with all details regarding the number of the displaced people and their regions and the houses destroyed during the military or terrorist operations,” he added.
