Gunmen kill officer in western Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A police officer was killed by unknown gunmen in western Mosul on Wednesday, according to a security source. “Unknown gunmen opened fire on Captain Khattab Aouni from the interior ministry on Wednesday (May 26), killing him instantly,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “He was killed while shopping in western Mosul,” he added, without giving further details.
