President Barzani arrives in Lebanon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani arrived in Beirut on Tuesday on an official visit to the country, according to a statement of Now Lebanon news agency. “Barzani arrived in Lebanon coming from Saudi Arabia, where he held talks with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bilateral relations and issues of common interest,” said the statement. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Environment Minister Mohammad Rahhal and the Egyptian and Iraqi ambassadors to Lebanon received Barzani at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport, the agency added. “The president will have talks with Lebanese officials on Iraq’s developments and ways of bolstering economic and cultural ties between the region and Lebanon,” a presidential statement had said.
