US diplomat in Baghdad meets Iraqi Kurd official

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: U.S. deputy ambassador to Iraq on Monday met with the Iraqi deputy Prime Minister Rose Nouri al-Shaweese (Kurd). A release issued by the U.S. embassy in Baghdad said that the meeting was devoted to discussing mutual cooperation within the fields of economy and power. Earlier, a leading figure of the Kurdistan Alliance said that no pressures have been put on the Kurdistan Alliance to join coalition with the Al-Iraqiya Alliance. “The Kurdistan Alliance has its own will,” Khalid Shawani told IraqiNews.com news agency.
