Talabani, Barzani seek solution on accountability commission’s decision

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region Massoud Barzani seek a satisfied solution regarding the decision of the Justice and Accountability Commission, a statement released from Talabani’s office said on Wednesday. “The meeting between the two presidents were held in Dukan resort in Sulaimaniya, during which they discussed the latest developments in the country and the ongoing talks to form a national partnership government,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Judiciary Appeals Commission on Monday (April 26) decided to cancel votes that were won by Iraqi politicians during the parliamentary elections due to their affiliation with the dissolved Baath Party.
