Amb. asserts France does not interfere in Iraq’s affairs

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: French Ambassador in Baghdad Boris Bwalun said on Wednesday that he visited Karbala with two French companies to sign contracts to implement big projects in the province, asserting that his country does not interfere in Iraq‘s political affairs. This came at a press conference the ambassador held, with the attendance of Karbala governor and the local council’s chairman. “French companies started to come back to Iraq, which highlights the deep-rooted and strong relations between the two countries, which started since the 8th century,” Bwalun said. He said that France praise the recent elections in the country, underlining that his country will not interfere in Iraq‘s affairs, but helps in forming the coming government. SH (P) 1
