3 US vehicles devastated in Tikrit

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Three U.S. vehicles were set on fire on Wednesday when two roadside bombs hit two U.S. convoys in two separate incidents in Salah al-Din province. “The first blast occurred 75 km south of Tikrit city, and left two U.S. vehicles on fire,” a local security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The second explosion took place 90 km south of Tikrit city, and left one U.S. vehicle devastated,” the source added. He noted that no information yet about casualties among U.S. soldiers. No comments have yet been made by U.S. military sources in Iraq about the two incidents. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 2
