Iraq could host int’l soccer tournament – source

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq could host the upcoming West Asia soccer tournament, an Asian sports source said on Sunday. “A final decision in this regard will be made on April 19, 2010,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that the tournament was supposed to be held in Lebanon, but the latter officially apologized that it cannot host the competitions. “The tournament should start on Sept. 24 and end on Oct. 3, 2010,” the source explained.
