3 killed, 7 wounded in Qaim suicide bombing

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Three killed and seven wounded is the toll of casualties caused by the suicide bombing on Sunday that targeted a Sahwa (Awakening) office in the al-Qaim district, western al-Anbar province. “Three killed and seven wounded is the latest toll of casualties caused by this attack,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He explained that security forces have imposed a curfew on the al-Qaim, and have intensified security measures near police stations and security institutions in the district as precautionary preparations for any possible attacks. Earlier, a local security source said that five Sahwa (Awakening) fighters were wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up in central al-Qaim district. “The bomber was wearing an explosive vest on him,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that the bomber blew himself up near a Sahwa office in the al-Sooq al-Shaabi area of central al-Qaim, 289 km west of the Ramadi city. “The five injuries represent a preliminary toll of casualties,” the source said soon after the attack. Ramadi, the capital city of al-Anbar province, lies 110 west of Baghdad. MH (S)/SR 2
