Asayesh free hostage child, arrest kidnappers in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdish security forces asayesh freed a child two days after he was kidnapped and arrested two of his kidnappers, according to a security press release on Sunday. “Two persons, an Arab and a Kurd, had kidnapped, Ahmed Samad Sallam, an eight-year-old child resident of Hafalan neighborhood, central Arabil, on Friday (July 23), and asked for a ransom of $200,000 (roughly 236 million Iraqi dinars),” read the asayesh department release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The asayesh forces watched the kidnappers closely in Arbil and Mosul and managed to spot their whereabouts in Arbil and free Ahmed and arrest two persons on charges of kidnapping him,” it added.
