Fire extinguished in oil pipeline in northern Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Civil defense teams on Tuesday were able to extinguish flames that erupted in an oil pipeline in northern Baghdad. “Thirty civil defense teams participated in the process to extinguish fires that erupted in an oil pipeline in the Bob el-Sham area, northern Baghdad,” Gen. Qassim Atta, the official spokesperson of the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC), told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that a sticky bomb that was attached to the pipeline by unknown gunmen went off Tuesday morning to ignite the flames. “Fires were extinguished in one hour,” Gen. Atta added.
