Al-Qaeda announces responsibility for killing, injuring 220 Iraqis in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Al-Qaeda’s Islamic State of Iraq armed group announced on Friday its responsibility for implementing the suicide attack in Bab al-Muaatham in central Baghdad, during which 60 were killed and 160 were wounded. “A suicide bomber belongs to the Islamic State of Iraq blew up an explosive belt strapped to his body in Babd al-Muaatham region in central Baghdad,” the armed group said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
