IED blast leaves 4 wounded in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Four persons, including two police officers, were wounded in an improvised explosive device blast in Baaquba city on Friday, according to a local security source in Diala. “An IED went off amidst a garbage dump near a car park in al-Mohandesin neighborhood, central Baaquba, leaving four men, including two police officers, wounded while they were trying to defuse the charge,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “A curfew and traffic ban were imposed inside al-Mohandesin neighborhood as Iraqi forces were intensively deployed,” the source added. Baaquba, the capital city of the unrest-stricken province of Diala, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. AmR (P) 2
