No security breaches in Anbar during – official

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The towns of western Iraq‘s province of al-Anbar did not register any security violations during Eid al-Ahda holidays, which proves the success of its security plan by 90 percent, according to the Anbar Police Department’s media official on Thursday. “All towns and villages of Anbar did not record any security violations and the circumstances had been stable thanks to the security measures and plans set up to protect people celebrating Eid al-Adha,” Maj. Rahim Zein told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that measures have been taken to protect the entrances and outlets of towns, where army and police forces were deployed in checkpoints at the main highway passing through the province, close to al-Habbaniya tourist city. “The security plan for the holidays succeeded by 90 percent as we celebrate the third day of Eid al-Adha today (Thursday),” he added. Ramadi, the capital city of the predominantly-Sunni province of al-Anbar, is 110 km west of Baghdad. SKH (P)/AmR 3
