4 killed, 7 injured as IED explodes south of Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four people were killed and seven were wounded when an improvised explosive device went off targeting the motorcade of al-Iraqiya List member Abdulkarim Mahoud in south of Baghdad, according to a security source. “The explosion took place in Jarf al-Nadaf region in Jisr Diala district, south of Baghdad,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The politician survived the attempt on his life, while one of his bodyguards was wounded,” he added.
