 469 displaced Iraqis return to Salah Al-Din governorate

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi authorities announced on Sunday the return of 469 displaced people to Salah Al-Din governorate, according to a press statement issued by the Minister of Migration and Displaced, Ivan Faiek Jabru, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

The statement mentioned that the second batch of displaced people, as much as 469 displaced people, representing 77 displaced families from Sulaymaniyah governorate, returned to their original areas of residence in Dujail town in Salah Al-Din governorate.

The total number of returnees became 1,016, representing 177 families, and they are all included in relief aid, the statement indicated.

Jabru stated that this step took place in coordination with the Samarra Operations Command and the government bodies in Dujail town.

The Minister of Migration and Displaced also added that all security, intelligence and service agencies as well as the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the ministry participated in the return process.
