URGENT / Shiite Endowment employee, 3 civilians wounded in Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four persons were wounded in a blast from an improvised explosive device (IED) attached to the vehicle of an employee working for the Shiite Endowment in eastern Baghdad on Saturday. “The charge attached to the vehicle of Iyad Salman, an employee for the Shiite Endowment, went off, leaving him severely wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Three civilians who happened to be near the blast site were also wounded in the explosion,” he added. “Ambulances rushed the wounded persons to the nearby Ibn al-Nafees Hospital for treatment while the police imposed tight measures in the area,” he said.
