9 wounded in more blasts in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four federal police personnel were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near their patrol in central Baghdad while a car bomb on a commercial street in southwestern Baghdad left five civilians wounded, a security source said on Saturday. “An IED planted on a roadside in al-Karrada, central Baghdad, went off near a federal police patrol, leaving four personnel wounded and causing damage to their vehicle,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “In another incident, five civilians were wounded in an initial count of casualties from a car bomb attack on the commercial crowded street 5 in al-Bayya’a area, southwestern Baghdad,” he added.
