10 al-Qaeda leaders arrested in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Ten al-Qaeda leaders were arrested in five provinces in Iraq, commander of the Quick Response Department said on Tuesday. “The QRD forces managed on Tuesday (Sept. 28) to arrest ten al-Qaeda leaders, including Mohammad Nasser al-Juburi, the fugitive from the Badoush Jail in Baghdad,” General Nuaaman Dakhel told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The QRD forces besieged his house in Wadi Akab region in Ninewa, and forced him to surrender,” he added. “The forces arrested nine al-Qaeda leaders in Salah el-Din, Ninewa, Wassit, Babel and Baghdad,” he said.
