2 civilians wounded in 3rd Baghdad blast Sun.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in eastern Baghdad, the third of its kind in the city on Sunday, a security source said. “A roadside IED ripped through the area of al-Kamaliya, eastern Baghdad, today (Sept. 5), leaving two civilians wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded local residents were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he added. Earlier, the same source said a civilian man was killed and five others wounded when a car rigged with explosives went off in Baghdad. Also, a civilian man was killed and two others wounded when an improvised explosive device attached to his vehicle went off in southern Baghdad. The mounting acts of violence took place as the government formation crisis is still going on amidst differences flaring up among the three top political blocs over the prime minister post. They also come five days after U.S. combat troops withdrew from Iraq while 50,000 still remain in the war-troubled oil-rich country for consultancy and training purposes. AmR (S) 2
