ID3.8b allocated for service projects in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The sum of 3.8 billion Iraqi dinars (roughly $3.2 million) was appropriated to activate a number of service project in Arbil to develop the capital city of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, Arbil Governor Nawzad Hadi said on Saturday. “A local contracting company embarked on works to pave 22-km-long roads in Arbil al-Jadida area, eastern Arbil, at a cost of 1.3 billion dinars, earmarked from the Provincial Development Budget for Arbil.” Hadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Another project envisages a road with two crossings between Sibrdan and Kisinzan areas at a cost of 1.25 billion dinars,” he added. Hadi noted that the third project involves the re-founding of a drinking water network in Sfen 2 town in northern Arbil at 300 million dinars. Arbil, the capital city of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, lies 360 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
