Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi security announced on Wednesday that three terrorists belonging to ISIS were killed in air strikes in the northern part of the country.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense mentioned in a statement that the Air Force carried out three air strikes targeting a terrorist group in the outskirts of Salah Al-Din governorate.

The statement added that the air strikes were carried out by F-16 fighter jets in the Tuz area in eastern Salah Al-Din, and resulted in the killing of three terrorists.

The Iraqi forces carry out continuous operations against the terrorist group of ISIS, most of which are concentrated in the outskirts of cities and remote areas where terrorists are hiding.

On Tuesday, the spokesperson of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Yahya Rasoul, warned that the next decade will witness a new generation of ISIS, in reference to families and children of ISIS militants living in Al-Hol camp.

“We do not have information about these new elements,” Rasoul stated referring to the new generation of ISIS.

According to the United Nations, more than 55 thousand people live in Al-Hol refugee camp located less than 10 kilometers away from the Iraqi borders.

In addition to foreign families of militants, estimated at about 10 thousand people, the camp also shelters families of displaced Syrians and Iraqis, some of them are still in contact with ISIS.

In a televised statement, Rasoul confirmed that ISIS group lost its military power, its logistical and human resources, and became weak.
