$2b housing project in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A housing project called Ayn al-Iraq, which encompasses 20,000 units at a cost of $2 billion, was announced during a ceremony at the Ninewa International Hotel in Mosul city on Thursday. “The mega project is being implemented by 57 Iraqi and foreign companies at a cost of $2 billion,” Ismail al-Barazanji, the chairman of the board of al-Oroush Company, the project investor, told IraqiNews.com news agency on the sidelines of the ceremony attended by a host of officials and businessmen from Ninewa province and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. “The space allotted to the project is estimated at 4,000 donums in western Mosul and would involve 20,000 housing units,” he added. One Iraqi donum equals 2500 square meters. Barazanji noted that the project also includes shopping malls, schools, swimming pools, entertainment centers, mosques, health clinics and security centers.
