 Iraqi President encourages cooperation to face economic conditions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi President, Abdel Latif Rashid, stressed on Tuesday the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation to confront economic conditions and environmental changes, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Presidency.

The statement elaborated that Rashid received the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, in the Presidential Palace in Baghdad where they discussed the bilateral relations between both countries and ways to serve common interests and reduce tensions in the region through dialogue.

Rashid expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided by the United States to Iraq in different fields, the statement elaborated.

The Iraqi President stressed the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation to face economic conditions and environmental and climatic changes, especially since Iraq is one of the countries most affected by climate change, the statement clarified.

Romanowski renewed her country’s support for the stability of Iraq, stressing the continuation of providing the necessary assistance to the Iraqis within the framework of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.
