Civilian wounded in manhunt for wanted person in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A civilian man was wounded by policemen fire during a manhunt for a wanted person in central Mosul city on Thursday, a local security source in Ninewa said. “The civilian was injured by policemen fire in the area of Bab al-Toub, central Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The incident took place when policemen were chasing the wanted person in a crowded area,” he said, adding the wounded civilian was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and is in stable condition now. Mosul, the capital city of the violence-stricken multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
