Civilian killed, 6 wounded in Mosul blast

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A civilian man was killed and six others wounded in an improvised explosive device blast in eastern Mosul city on Friday, according to a police source in Ninewa. “The IED went off near an Iraqi army patrol in al-Intissar neighborhood, eastern Mosul, leaving a civilian killed and six others wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The civilian victims happened to be near the blast site, he added, noting there were no casualties reported amongst the patrolmen. Mosul, the capital city of the violence-ridden multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 2
