Iraqi soldiers shoot down intel. officer near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Army forces shot dead an officer in the former Iraqi intelligence agency during a raid on his house east of Mosul city on Sunday, a security source in Ninewa said. “An Iraqi army force killed Kamel Mohammed Hussein al-Nuaimi, an officer in former intelligence agency during a raid on his house in a village of al-Nimrod district, (40 km) east of Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The body of Nuaimi, whose son is on the Iraqi forces’ list of wanted persons, was removed to a morgue,” the source added, not giving further details. Mosul, the capital city of the violence-ridden multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
