Iraqi Interior Minister stresses Iraqi people supports Palestinian cause

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, stated on Wednesday that the Iraqi people, with all their sects, support the Palestinian cause, according to a statement cited by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The Interior Ministry mentioned in a statement that Al-Shammari discussed with his Palestinian counterpart, General Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, the bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation frameworks in areas and issues that serve the interests of the two countries.
Al-Shammari’s statements took place during his meeting with Al-Reeh in Baghdad, where he confirmed that the Iraqi people, with all their sects, support the Palestinian cause, INA reported.
The Palestinian Minister explained that this visit to Baghdad has important positive effects on the regional level. INA mentioned.
Al-Reeh described Iraq as a source of honesty and strength, praising the great efforts exerted to eliminate terrorism, and expressing his wishes for Iraq and its people for more stability.
The Iraqi Minister of Interior elaborated that Al-Reeh visited the headquarters of the Border Forces Command in Baghdad, and was briefed about the achievements and championships they achieved as well as the Iraqi security fortifications with neighboring countries.
