Citizens foil second attack on Christian family in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Citizens, in cooperation with army forces, foiled on Monday an armed attack on a Christian family in eastern Mosul, according to a security source. “Unknown gunmen attacked a Christian family in al-Qadissiya neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that the house belongs to a university professor, who was not at home when the attack occurred. “The neighbors and the army forces forced the gunmen to flee,” he said, adding that the forces cordoned off the whole region to search for the attacker. Citizens had foiled another attack on a Christian family in al-Bekr neighborhood, eastern Mosul, last week. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, is 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
