Army kills gunman in eastern Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Army forces on Thursday killed a gunman for attempting to attack a patrol in eastern Mosul, an army source said. “An army force killed this afternoon a gunman, who attempted to threw a hand grenade on one of its patrols in al-Jazaer neighborhood in eastern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Army forces killed two terrorists and arrested a third one in Mosul,” according to Defense Ministry’s Spokesman, General Mohammad al-Askari. “The forces killed two terrorists and arrested a third one in Mashierfa region in Mosul,” al-Iraqiya channel quoted al-Askari as saying.
