Egypt’s Othman first Arab diplomat in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Egyptian Consul Suleiman Othman became the first Arab diplomat to work officially in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, where he presented a copy of his credentials on Saturday to the Chairman of the Region’s Foreign Relations Department, Falah Mustapha, according to an official statement on Sunday. “Falah Mustapha received on Saturday the official credentials of Egyptian consul to Kurdistan Suleiman Othman, who is considered the first Arab consul in the Kurdistan Region,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. It said that “both sides have discussed the horizons of the future relations and the current situation in Kurdistan Region, along with the progress achieved in the efforts for the formation of the new Iraqi government”.
