Egyptian consulate in Arbil ‘important step’ to boost relations – Barzani

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, said on Wednesday that opening an Egyptian consulate in Arbil is an important step to foster historical relations between the two sides, according to a presidential statement. “President Barzani received today at the Salah al-Din resort Egyptian Consul in Kurdistan, Soliman Othman, to congratulate him on the occasion of assuming his post as the first Arab consul in Kurdistan,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The president expressed readiness to present all possible support to render his mission a success,” it added.
