Bulani heads for Tehran to discuss security

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Interior Minister Jawad al-Bulani is leaving for Tehran on Friday for a three-day visit at the invitation of the Iranian side to discuss security issues and means to activate the recommendations of the Iraq neighbors’ interior ministers meeting, according to a ministry release. “Bulani is expected to have deliberations with Iranian officials on means to cement bilateral geographical, economic and security cooperation,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Security issues will figure high on the agenda of talks as the two side will tackle ways to effectuate the recommendations of the Iraq neighbors’ interior ministers conference held in the Bahraini capital Manama last month as well as control on borders and combating narcotics and exchange of visits to holy shrines in the two countries,” it added. Minister Bulani is planning to embark on a tour of neighboring countries for the same objectives, said the release. AmR (P) 1
