Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The foreign ministers of Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan discussed economic, regional, and international issues of common interest, and developments in the region, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

The statement illustrated that the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, and the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, held a meeting within the tripartite coordination mechanism between the three countries.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting of the Arab League in the Saudi city of Jeddah, the statement mentioned.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance consultation and coordination within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism, as well as developments in joint projects between the three countries, the statement elaborated.

The meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments, the statement clarified.

The three ministers stressed the need to continue consultations and coordination regarding common challenges and regional developments, especially in Syria, as well as developments in the Palestinian cause.
