President Talabani meets William Burns

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani received on Wednesday U.S. Under Secretary for Political Affairs William Burns and his accompanying delegation, according to a presidential statement. “The president highlighted the recent talks among political blocs to form the new government,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Talabani praised the role played by the United States in helping the Iraqi people in establishing a federal democratic Iraq.
