Court case to be raised against Iraq’s new Parliament members for recieving 82 billion (b) dinars for 17-minute meeting!

MISSAN, SOUTH IRAQ / IraqiNews.com: A member of the Civil Commission for the Protection of the Iraqi Constitution has announced on Monday that the Commission would raise a legal case to the Federal Court, demanding the return of salaries received by the 325 members of the new Iraqi Parliament, who it charged them with having received 82 billion (b) Iraqi Dinars (US$694 millions approx) in salaries for the past 5 months,  “for attending a 17-minute meeting only!” “The court case will be raised in Baghdad’s Karrada Court against the said Parliament Members, by Advocate Ibtisam al-Shimmari, who charged the 325 Parliament members with having received 82 billion (b) dinars during the past 5 months, for a 17-minute meeting during the first Parliament session, held recently,” Ali al-Anbouri told IraqiNews.com News Agency. Anbouri said that the proposed step “would follow a case his Copmmission had gained, obliging the Parliament Members to attend the Parliament premises and end its “open session.” He did not elaborate.
