Aaraji: Parl. session postponed to give Barazani’s initiative a chance
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A parliament session was postponed as a result of an agreement by representatives of political blocs to give enough time to activate the initiative proposed by Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barazani to form a real partnership government, according to a Sadrist member on Friday. “The representatives of political blocs in preparatory committees on President Barazani’s initiative agreed on postponing a parliament session from November 8 to November 11 until convincing the al-Iraqiya bloc of the need to participate in a national partnership government,” Baha’a al-Aaraji, a member of the National Alliance from Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr’s Movement, told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that all political blocs wish to see a national partnership government that would include al-Iraqiya bloc, adding talks are going on to reach an agreement in this respect. AmR (P) 1
