BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, has decided to present its candidates for the new cabinet later on Sunday, to include 11 ministers, according to its spokesman, Shaker Kattab. “Al-Iraqiya Coalition has decided to present its candidates for the new cabinet, led by Prime Minister Designate Nouri al-Maliki, in one group, comprising its candidates for the National Council for Strategic Studies (NCSS), Vice-President and Deputy Prime-Minister, along with 11 cabinet ministers,” Kattab told IraqiNews.com news agency, but refrained to announce the names of candidate ministers, due to “security reasons.” Kattab also said: “Our candidate for the Chairmanship of the National Council for Strategic Studies is al-Iraqiya Leader, Iyad Allawi, whilst Tareq al-Hashimi is our candidate for the Vice-President’s post and Saleh al-Mutlaq for the Deputy Prime-Minister’s post,” adding that al-Iraqiya’s candidates for different ministries have been selected according to its election rights.
