Parl. internal system, budget this week – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The parliament this week will witness a debates and approval of the House’s internal system and the state budget for the year 2011, according to a lawmaker from al-Iraqiya bloc on Saturday. “The internal system amendment committee finalized its work and would debate and approve it this week. Also, the draft state budget for 2011 was received by parliament and would be debated by an ad-hoc committee,” Nahida al-Dayni told IraqiNews.com news agency. She added that the participation of women in the next government would be immense as they are going to get seven ministerial portfolios and 25 percent of the parliamentary committees based on quotas for the different political blocs. “Al-Iraqiya bloc would chair a number of permanent parliamentary committees, including the national reconciliations, tribal affairs, justice & accountability, women’s affairs and the legal committee,” said Dayni.
